HISTORICAL OVERVIEW
Anhydrite is a mineral form of calcium sulfate, closely related to gypsum but lacking water in its structure. Its name comes from the Greek word “anhydros,” meaning “without water.” The blue variety, Angelite, was discovered in Peru in 1987 and quickly became associated with angelic communication and higher guidance. Historically, Anhydrite has been used in industrial applications, but in metaphysical traditions it is considered a stone of peace, compassion, and spiritual awareness, symbolizing tranquility and divine connection.
